One of the biggest projects that I'm currently working on is You're the Expert, the show that uses comedy to make academic research more accessible and exciting. You're the Expert is a live show, radio broadcast, and podcast that brings attention to obscure but important academic research that you wouldn't hear about anywhere else.
Here's a brief overview of the concept:
You're the Expert connects Cambridge’s legendary academic community with the artistic, creative community in the Greater Boston area. Too often, only an incredibly specialized community is made aware of important research and discoveries. At the same time, there's a huge audience for comedy, but the subject matter tends to be frivolous. You're the Expert bridges these worlds, attracting a comedy audience while providing them with meaningful content.
Basically, we get three hilarious comedians to try and guess what a professor or researcher does all day. Then I interview our expert about what their research really is and why it's important and exciting.
